One person arrested after a two vehicle crash in Charles City

Charles City, Iowa – On Monday at 5:28pm, the Charles City Police Department responded to a 2-vehicle crash at the intersection of 13th Avenue and D Street.

A 1997 Ford F-250 being driven by 50-year-old Daniel Doty of Clarksville was struck by a 2000 Dodge Dakota which was operated by 35-year-old Melinda Halverson of Charles City.

No injuries were reported.

Halverson was arrested at the scene and charged with operating a motor vehicle while suspended and failure to yield from a stop sign.

Damage between both vehicles was estimated to be close to $6,500.
