Seminar in Charles City Helps Women Become More Politically Active

Charles City, IA – There is a state-wide initiative coming to Charles City on Oct. 13. This is a seminar that is trying to help women become more politically engaged.

The seminar is called Step Up! and will be held at the NIACC Center in Charles City. Linda Tjaden, Floyd County Supervisor, says why women should be involved in politics.

Professionals will be in attendance to share advice and techniques with participants. This is one of four seminars taking place in Iowa and will cost $30. That fee will pay for the meal provided and the seminar’s notebook.

The course runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 13. If you are interested, go to www.50-50in2020.org to register.
