UPDATE: Federal Gun Charges for Fayette Man

Fayette, IA – A Fayette County man was charged with a felony gun charge earlier this year. He has since pled guilty to that charge.

33-year-old Josh Sargent of Fayette is accused of selling a stolen Winchester Model 1897 shotgun and a Browning 12-guage for $1,300. Police also found two firearms in his house after a search happened on June 26.

Sargent is not allowed to possess firearms do to a prior conviction for second degree theft in 2016.

He has plead guilty to one charge of felon in possession of a firearm and he will be sentenced at a later date.
