A Volleyball On A Grunge Textured Background

In a match heard right here on KCHA last night, the Charles City Comet volleyball team welcomed in Osage for some non-conference action.  The Green Devils won the first two games 25-20, then the Comets took game three 25-22, Osage would then win the fourth game 25-19 to take the match three games to one.  Sami Heyer and Tayler Schmidt each had 12 kills to lead the Comets, Sydney Loeckle had 30 assists and Sadie Ruzicka had 14 digs for the Charles City defense.  Kelsey Havel led Osage’s offense with 17 kills and Dani Johnson and Sydney Midlang each had 15.  Rylie Olson finished the night with 48 assists and was also 21-21 serving for the Green Devils.  Charles City volleyball is now 18-13 overall this season and will play again tonight in their final northeast Iowa Conference match at Waukon.  You c an tune into exciting Comet volleyball again tonight right here on KCHA starting with a pre-meet at 7:15 and first serve will be at 7:30.  Osage improves to 21-8 on the season and they will wrap-up their regular season on Thursday by host a triangular meet with Janesville and Aplington-Parkersburg.

The Saint Ansgar Saints volleyball team was in Cresco last night for a non-conference match against the Crestwood Cadets.  Crestwood won game won 25-22 and game two 25-10, the Saints took game three 25-12 and then the Cadets won game four 25-12 and picked up the match win three games to one.  The Saints volleyball team falls to 8-13 on the season and they will host Riceville on Thursday night for their final regular season match this year.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky and North Butler Bearcat volleyball teams will be in Lake Mills tonight.  Both teams will play each other, Lake Mills and Hampton Dumont.  The Huskies come in with an overall record of 11-16 and the Bearcats are 14-14.  The first matches of the night are set to begin at 6pm.

The Charles City Comet girls and boys cross country teams will head to Waukon today for the Northeast Iowa Conference meet.  All seven conference schools will take part in this meet that will start with the Middle School races at 4pm.
