Local New Hampton Man Graduates from Basic Training

San Antonia, TX – A Chickasaw County Air Force Airman recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, in San Antonio.

U.S. Air Force Airman Nolan R. Dungey completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Dungey is the son of Trace and Lora Dungey of New Hampton. He graduated from New Hampton High School earlier this year.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
