UPDATE – Child Who Was Struck by a Bullet at Orchard is in Stable Condition – 10/11 LM

Nashua, IA – A young child was seriously injured earlier this week while at an apple orchard outside of Nashua.

The accident happened at Apples on the Orchard on Sunday. The child is 8-years-old and was struck by a stray bullet and sustained a serious injury. The shot was fired from the Nashua Fish and Game Club in which is three-eighths of a mile away from the orchard.

It was released that the child is in stable condition.

Authorities have not released any names in this case. This is not being investigated as a criminal act, and police say this was a freak accident.
