Narcotics Investigation in Mason City Leads to Arrests

Cerro Gordo County, IA – Three people were arrested in Mason City after a narcotics investigation had taken place.

The people who were arrested were 28-year-old Eric Hart of Mason City, 30-year-old Dakota Sanders and 57-year-old Christopher Funk who are both from San Andreas, California. Both Hart and Sanders were arrested after traffic stops at the intersection of 4th St. SW and South Pierce Ave.

Hart has been charged with possession with intent to deliver meth over five grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix a tax stamp. He was arrested around 9:40 p.m.

About 35 minutes later, Dakota Sanders was stopped, arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and two counts of failure to affix a tax stamp.

The final arrest came at the Days Inn. A search warrant was executed, and as a result, Funk was charged with possession with intent to deliver meth over five grams, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, two counts of failure to affix a tax stamp and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

They are currently being held without bond in Cerro Gordo County Jail.
