Deck the Streets with Wreaths

Osage, IA – Many cities decorate their streets with lights and wreaths during the Christmas season. The Osage City Council just approved spending to help bring new lights to the city.

The Osage Chamber of Commerce usually is in charge of the street decorations, but due to low funds, they asked the city for some help. The Osage City Council’s approval of this spending means that the street lights in Osage will be dawning new wreaths come Christmas time.

15 large wreaths will be purchased with the total expense being $7,141.50. The chamber will be providing $2,000 while the city will pay $5,100.

The chamber will try to sell the older decorations.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
