Active Winter for Young New Hampton Kids

New Hampton, IA – The winter months may be coming fast but the New Hampton Parks and Rec Department is still putting on activities for kids to stay active.

Flyers went home with kids in grades preschool through sixth with a list of things that are going on with the Parks and Rec Department. Tara Hackman, recreation coordinator, says more about the first event starting up which is Sporty Shorties.

The deadline to sign kids up for this is Nov. 2 with the first one taking place next week. There will be some changes to the program this year.

This is a good time for kids to socialize as well. For more details on this, visit New Hampton’s Park and Rec Facebook page.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
