Healthy Eating Habits at Immaculate Conception

Charles City, IA – Healthy eating habits is on the mind of middle school students at the Immaculate Conception School in Charles City.

The students have been working on their Food Truck projects for a little while now. Students have learned about healthy eating portion sizes.

Cari Barry, teacher at Immaculate Conception, says how this project came about.

Ariana Estrada, 6th grader, says more about the project.

There were groups of students who worked on different projects. Connor Ferch, 6th grader, and Estrada say what they did for their projects.

This project idea has educated students on a new topic. Barry says what she hopes her students take away from it.

The Food Truck project has brought awareness to these young students about how to eat healthy. That will benefit them in the future.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
