KCHA Sports Report (11/14)

It’s early but the Iowa State Men’s Basketball team may be headed to the rebuilding year that many predicted. In a game heard right here on KCHA last night, The Cyclones jumped out to an early eight point lead but it was all Wisconsin-Milwaukee after that as the Panthers raced away to a 74-56 win in Ames.

Iowa State coach Steve Prohm. The Cyclones had 18 turnovers and made only three of 15 from three point range.

Nick Weiler-Babb and Jeff Beverly each had 11 points to lead ISU.

On to some Cyclone Football now, Iowa State coach Matt Campbell says senior quarterback Kyle Kempt is day to day as the Cyclones prepare to visit Baylor. Kempt injured a shoulder in the second quarter of a 49-42 loss to Oklahoma State.

If Kempt can’t go redshirt freshman Zeb Noland will get the start after playing well against the Cowboys.

Campbell says a veteran and talented receiving corps has allowed all four quarterbacks to have success.

Baylor is 1-9 but Campbell says the Bears have made progress this season.

Iowa State has played three straight nail biters but Campbell is not concerned about a letdown.
