Mercy Medical Center Renovations Update

New Hampton, IA – The beam signing at the Mercy Medical Center is taking place today in New Hampton. This allows for residents of the community to etch their names into the towns history.

The hospital is currently undergoing a $6 million renovation project. Before one of the beams gets installed, people will have the opportunity to put their John Hancock on the firm piece of steel. Jenny Monteith, public relations coordinator at Mercy, says more about the signing.

Cookies, coffee and punch will be available in the cafeteria after along with floor plans for the renovations and staffers to answer questions the public might have.

Monteith gives an update on how the construction is going.

Once the be is finished tomorrow, it will be installed into the newly renovated hospital.
