Tosanak Recreation Area Receives Grant

Marble Rock, IA – The Tosanak Recreation Area announced earlier this year that they were going to be building a cabin that would be available to rent. Donations are still being taken to help construct it.

There are limited county parks in Iowa that currently have cabins that can be rented. Floyd County is already one of those counties, but Joel Cannon, with the park, says that Tosanak is looking to add to that number.

The total cost of this cabin will cost $120,000. Cannon says how it is being funded.

Members on the committee believe that this will help enhance the park.

The park also announced last week that they received a grant that will help construct a recreation area near the new cabin. The park received $13,028 for this area.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
