CCPD Report from Friday

Charles City, IA – The Charles City Police Department responded to multiple theft reports, an arrest and a car accident on Friday.

Both of the theft reports happened on Valley Ave. The first occurrence was for a shed break in that had a generator and a cordless tool stolen. Those two items were valued around $800. The second theft also involved their shed getting broken into. The items stolen were not listed, but $5,000 worth of items was stolen.

The lone car accident happened on Thursday, but was reported on Friday and was a hit-and-run. 42-year-old Stacy Hoard of Nora Springs was parked legally on Blunt Parkway when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. An estimated $800 in damage was done to her Ford Escape.

A search warrant was executed that led to two people being arrested on Friday. 34-year-old Lemi-ola Aregbesola and 28-year-old Jake Williams, both from Charles City, were arrested on warrants after an investigation had taken place. They allegedly stole a credit card and were arested for unauthorized use of a credit card. Charges are pending.
