Bids Accepted for NH School’s Construction Project

New Hampton, IA – The New Hampton School Board took bids for their new renovations two weeks ago. The board came to a decision this last Tuesday and handed out winning bids.

The project has come in under budget, but more than $12.65 million will be paid to contractors. All that is left to do is to have the contractors sign the contracts. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2018 with the completion date coming in March of 2019. The board accepted these bids so that the project will be finished sooner. The construction was initially supposed to be done in June of 2019.

A pre-construction meeting will be held with the contractors the week before Christmas. Here is a list of all the contractors that won bids:

Cresco Building Service

Young Plumbing and Heating of Waterloo

Shammel Electric of Austin, MN

Anderson Ladd Inc. of Minneapolis

Seating and Athletic Enterprises of Ellendale, MN

TriMark Food Service

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
