Accident Report in Charles City from Friday

Charles City, IA – Three more car accidents took place in Charles City on Friday.

Charles City Police were called to the 900 block of Kelly St. for an accident that happened in a parking lot. Felton Kolheim was attempting to pull into a parking space when he was hit by Kenneth Elliott. The total amount of damage done is $1,300. Both drivers are from Charles City.

Two more people were involved in a crash involving a postal truck. This took place in the 500 block of Kellogg Ave. 44-year-old Deena Gaeser was backing from her driveway when she struck this vehicle. The driver of the postal truck was 56-year-old Angela Marsh-Jones. Around $1,300 in damage was done.

The final crash on the day was a hit and run in the 300 block of 2nd Ave. A red Ford Explorer was legally parked in the road when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. The car then sped away traveling east on 2nd Ave. This occurred around 7:01 p.m.
