A Chili Dinner for Peru

Charles City, IA – The temperature outside is supposed to dip down on Thursday, but a dinner in Charles City High School’s cafeteria can help keep those who attend warm.

A chili supper will be put on this Thursday evening starting at 5:30 p.m. This is all an effort to raise money for a social studies class that will be taking a trip to Peru in 2019. Robert Pittman, social studies teacher at CCHS, says that this is a great experience for the students.

There will be more than just chili served as volunteers will be coming a couple of different dishes.

The Comets wrestling team will then have a match in Comet Gym following the dinner.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
