Broken Car Windows Reported to CCPD

Charles City, IA – An arrest and criminal mischief report took place in Charles City last Friday.

The arrest happened at around 8:47 a.m. after a man had shoplifted some items from Hy-Vee. 60-year-old Steven Bunston of Charles City was taken in by Charles City Police for a valid Floyd County warrant for trespassing and 5th degree theft.

The criminal mischief report came from the 2100 block of Clark St. A couple of vehicle had windows broken from rocks that were thrown. A Chevy Impala had its front windshield broken while a Buick Lesabre had its windshield, driver, passenger and rear windows broken.

The person responsible for these crimes is unknown and the total amount of damage was $700.
