CCPD Responds to Two-Vehicle Accident

Charles City, IA – An accident and an arrest have taken place in Charles City this work week.

The first happened on Monday night when 27-year-old Brittaney Jones was pulled over at the corner of 4th Ave. and North Grand Ave. This lead to her being arrested for driving with a suspended license, speeding and failure to have proof of insurance.

The CCPD also responded to a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Gilbert St. and South Main St. 47-year-old Frank Tafolla of Mason City was parked at a stop light when he was struck in the back of his car. 20-year-old Zachary Schlader of Charles City was traveling west on Gilbert St. when he struck Tafolla. Schlader was cited for failure to maintain control of the vehicle. $1,200 in damage was done.
