Kidnapping Sentence Upheld

Mitchell County, IA – A Mitchell County man who had appealed his life in prison sentence has received word on his decision.

24-year-old Nicholas Lenz was arrested and convicted for kidnapping. He appealed the original sentence and with several arguments. One argument stating about the victim’s drug use at the time. The Iowa Court of Appeals rejected this and Lenz will have to live his full sentence.

He had kidnapped a woman for two days. Lenz also beat and threatened her with a gun. The victim had suffered a broken jaw that needed screws to be repaired.
