Domestic Abuser Receives Felony Charge

Cerro Gordo County, IA – A Cerro Gordo County man who was already convicted of domestic abuse was arrested after a traffic stop and received another felony charge on Friday.

34-year-old Christopher Heyden of Manly was pulled over in Mason City at around 1:19 p.m. He was originally arrested for driving while barred. Ammunition was found on him after he was searched, and that led to a felony charge for possession of ammunition by a domestic abuser.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest. Heyden is set to appear in court today and is being held in Cerro Gordo County Jail on a $7,000 bond.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
