Iowa – Children and families in Iowa could soon be looking for different health care providers as federal money could be running out for a health insurance program.
This would affect around 60,000 children and 44,000 families. The families are expected to be notified by early February.
Other possibilities are being looked at for health care. The Iowa Department of Human Services is looking into options such as going to Medicaid or ending the current coverage completely. This would force families to find different providers or have their children go uninsured.
This could be pushed back into March.
