The Charles City Comet wrestling team was in Oelwein last night for a Northeast Iowa Conference dual with the Huskies.  The Comet grapplers were able to win rather handily as they ended the match on the top end of a 43-27 score.  The Charles City wrestling team improves to 5-11 overall this season and they get their first NEIC win as they are now 1-2 in conference duals.  They will be back in action tomorrow at a tournament in Clear Lake.

The Charles City Comet boys basketball team will be in action tonight as they get set to take on Waukon at home.  The Comet boys are 7-1 overall this season and they come in on top of the Northeast Iowa Conference standings with a 4-0 mark.  The Waukon boys are 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the NEIC.  Tip-off for the Varsity game is scheduled to be at 7:30.

The Charles City Comet girls basketball team will be in Waukon tonight for their Northeast Iowa Conference match-up with the Indians.  The Charles City girls are 0-8 overall this season and they are 0-4 in the NEIC while the Waukon girls come in at 6-4 and 4-1.  The Varsity game is set to start at 7:30.

The Nashua-Plainfield girls and boys basketball teams will host West Fork tonight in Top of Iowa Conference action.  After their loss to Central Springs last night, the Nashua girls are 1-10 overall this season and 0-7 in the conference while the West Fork girls come in at 6-3 and 5-2.  The Husky boys beat the Panthers last night and are 6-4 overall this season and 4-3 in league play.  The Warrior boys come in at 5-4 and 4-3.  The girls game will tip-off at 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The Osage Green Devil girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for their Top of Iowa Conference double-header against Northwood-Kensett.  The Green Devil girls are looking to stay unbeaten as they have an overall record of 9-0 and they are 7-0 in conference games while the Northwood girls are 1-8 and 1-6.  The Osage boys are 6-2 overall this season and they are 6-1 in the conference while the Viking boys are 1-7 and 1-6.  The girls game will get started at about 6:15 and the boys game will tip-off at around 7:30.

The North Butler Bearcat girls and boys basketball teams will host Rockford tonight in a Top of Iowa Conference double-header.  The Bearcat girls are 5-4 overall this season and their conference record is 3-4 while the Rockford girls are 2-9 and 2-6.  The North Butler boys have an overall record of 4-4 and they are 3-4 in TIC games while the Warrior boys are 8-3 overall and 5-2 in the conference.  The girls game is scheduled to start at 6:15 with the boys game to follow.

The Saint Ansgar Saints girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for a Top of Iowa Conference double header against Mason City Newman.  The Saint Ansgar girls are 6-5 overall this season and their conference record is 3-4 while the Knight girls are 5-5 and 4-3.  The Saints boys come in at 6-3 overall and they are 4-3 in conference games and the Newman boys are 6-3 and 5-2.  The girls game will tip-off at about 6:15 and the boys game will get started at about 7:30.
