Les Mausehund, 70, Mitchell

Les Mausehund, age 70, of Mitchell, died Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, with Pastor David A. Werges, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation is from 5:00- 7:00 p.m., Monday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home.

Les was born April 11, 1947, in Mason City, the son of Herbert and Mary (Strand) Mausehund. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. Les married Linda Prantner on May 20, 1967 at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell. He was employed at Oliver/White Farm, Rock Creek Tree Service, Winnebago Industries and Feather-Lite. Throughout all these years he continued to farm. Les enjoyed farming, gardening, turtle fishing, woodworking, watching westerns and happy hour with his friends. He loved most of all spending time with family, especially his granddaughters.

Les is survived by his wife, of 50 years Linda Mausehund of Mitchell; daughter, Connie Mausehund of Osage; sons, John (Cindi) Mausehund of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Ron Mausehund of Mitchell; grandchildren, Brianna Funte of Charlotte, North Carolina, Heather Funte of Osage, Jayden Mausehund of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Maddisen Mausehund of St. Ansgar; mother, Mary Mausehund of Mason City; siblings, Janet Nauman of Nora Springs, Joan Gudmonson of New Prague, Minnesota, Larry Mausehund of St. Ansgar and June (Frank) McFarland of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
