Osage Man Receives Gun Charge

Osage, IA – An Osage man has received a felony charge after he was found with a weapon after a search of his home.

The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office searched 47-year-old Brian Perrin’s home in August of 2017 for drugs. During the search officers found Winchester 67 .22-caliber rifle and shotgun rounds. Perrin then proceeded to have an altercation with a peace officer.

He had been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, assault on a peace officer and obstruction.

Perrin was found guilty of possession of meth and interference. He was sentenced to probation in December for these two charges. He has yet to be sentenced for the felon in possession of a firearm charge.
