Reserve a Spot for the Spaghetti Supper

Floyd County, IA – The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office has a group of people that assist them called reserves. These people have the same rights that a regular officer does, but they work on a volunteer basis. A dinner will be held this Saturday to help raise money for these reserves.

A spaghetti dinner will be held this Saturday at the Elks Lodge starting at 4:30 and running until 7:30. Chad Weber, reserve coordinator for Floyd County, says why this dinner is being held.

A ticket for this meal will cost $10. They can be purchased at First Security Bank, from any of the reserves, at the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office or tickets will be available at the door the night of the event.

People are always welcome to become a reserve. Weber says how to sign up.

The applicant must go through a few courses before becoming officially certified.

The reserve will have almost as much control as the deputies when their training is complete.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
