Monday Car Crash Sends Two to Hospital

Cerro Gordo County, IA – A car accident on Monday morning in Cerro Gordo County resulted in two people getting taken to Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. 33-year-old Patricia Fryhling-Erickson was driving a Ranger when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy roads and slid into the ditch. The vehicle then struck a tree.

Patricia Fryhling-Erickson was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was later released. Her passenger, Shane Fryhling-Erickson, was taken to the hospital by Mercy Air-Med and is still in critical condition as of Tuesday.
