The Iowa State women were outsacored 29-15 in the fourth quarter in a 67-60 loss to Kansas State at home. The Cyclones fall to 1-4 in the Big 12.

That’s Iowa State coach Bill Fennelly. The Cyclones led by as many as 10 points late in the third quarter and led 45-38 heading into the final frame.

Iowa State is 7-9 overall.

Somebody has got to win when Iowa visits Illinois. Todd Kimm reports.

The Iowa football team will have some added holes to fill next season with the early departure of two standouts. All-American corner Josh Jackson and center James Daniels will both skip their senior seasons to enter the NFL Draft. Both were key components to Iowa’s 8-5 season that concluded with a win over Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl.

That’s Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz who feels players are better served by staying in college but supports the decision of both players.
