Kettle Campaign Sets New Record in Chickasaw County

Chickasaw County, IA – The Kettle Campaign started in Oakland, California, over 125 years ago. These bell ringers help raise money for those in need around the Christmas season.

Chickasaw County has now been involved with this for three years. This years fund raising efforts brought in a record amount of donations. Liz Markham, one of the organizers in Chickasaw County, says why the county partakes in the Kettle Campaign.

A large amount of money was donated this year in the county.

Roughly 80%, or $11,000, will stay in Chickasaw County.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them.
