In a game heard right here on KCHA last night, the Charles City Comet boys basketball team was in Independence for a non-conference match-up with the Mustangs.  The Comets were able to pick up their 12th win in a row as they won last night by a final score of 66-55.  The Charles City boys basketball team is now 12-1 overall this season and they will return to action on Saturday when they will travel to Cedar Rapids to play at the U.S. Cellular Center against Mount Pleasant.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for a Top of Iowa Conference double-header against Mason City Newman.  The Nashua girls will be looking to get in the win column for the first time in conference play as they are 1-13 overall and 0-10 in conference games.  The Newman girls come in at 7-7 overall and they are 5-5 in the conference.  The Nashua boys have an overall record of 7-6 and their conference record is 5-5 while the Newman Knight boys are 10-3 ad 8-2.  The girls game is scheduled to tip-off at 6:15 with the boys game to follow.

The Osage girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for their Top of Iowa Conference games against Saint Ansgar.  The Osage girls will look to stay unbeaten as they are 14-0 overall this season and they have a Top of Iowa Conference record of 10-0 while the Saints girls are 7-6 and 4-5.  The Green Devil boys come in at 9-4 overall and 8-2 in conference play while the Saint Ansgar boys are 8-4 and 5-4.  The girls game will get started at about 6:15 and the boys game will begin around 7:30.

The North Butler Bearcat girls and boys basketball teams will host Central Springs tonight in a Top of Iowa Conference double-header.  The Bearcat girls are 8-4 overall this season and they are 6-4 in the conference while the Central Springs girls are 10-3 and 7-3.  The North Butler boys have an overall record of 5-6 and their Top of Iowa Conference record is 4-6 while the Panther boys come in winless at 0-13 and 0-10.  The girls game will be played first and tip-off at about 6:15 with the boys game to follow.
