Tuesday CCPD Report

Charles City, IA – Two businesses reported people stealing alcohol from their stores on Tuesday.

The first report came from the 800 block of Kelly St. at 9:15 a.m. A woman had stolen $166 worth of alcohol. This incident is being investigated by the Charles City Police Department and charges are pending. Police were then called to the 900 block of Kelly St. at 5:41 p.m. Two more bottles of alcohol were stolen from a different business. $85 worth of alcohol was taken this time.

A car accident also took place in Charles City on Tuesday. Officers responded to the 300 block of 7th Ave. at 4:26 p.m. 39-year-old Kelli Bohlen of Charles City was driving south on C St. when she failed to yield the right of way and struck another vehicle. 22-year-old Allison Piehl was the driver of that car. There was a combined $2,000 in damage and Bohlen was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
