KCHA Sports Report (1/26)

The Charles City Comet girls and boys basketball teams will be in Oelwein tonight for a Northeast Iowa Conference double-header against the Huskies.  The Comet girls will be in search of their first win tonight as they come into the game with an overall record of 0-14 and they are 0-8 in the NEIC while the Oelwein girls are 5-12 and 1-8.  The Charles City boys are 12-2 overall this season and they are a perfect 7-0 in the NEIC while the Husky boys are 3-13 and 0-9.  You can tune into both of these games right here on KCHA starting with a pre-game at about 6:00, the girls game will tip-off around 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The Charles City Comet wrestling team will be in Waverly tomorrow to take part in the Northeast Iowa Conference tournament.  You can tune into complete coverage of the NEIC Tournament right here on KCHA starting at 10am.

The Osage Green Devil girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for their Top of Iowa Conference games against Nashua-Plainfield.  The fifth-ranked Green Devil girls are undefeated this season and come in with an overall record of 16-0 and they are 12-0 in conference games while the Nashua girls are 2-15 and 1-12.  The Osage boys are 11-5 overall and their conference record is 10-2 while the Husky boys are 9-7 and 7-6.  The girls game will begin at around 6:15 and the boys game will get started at around 7:30.

The Rockford Warrior girls and boys basketball teams will take part in a Top of Iowa Conference double-header tonight at Central Springs.  The Warrior girls are 4-12 overall this season and they are 4-8 in conference games while the Central Springs girls are 12-4 and 9-4.  The Rockford boys come in at 12-4 overall this season and their conference record sits are 9-3 while the Panther boys are winless at 0-16 and 0-13.  The girls game will tip-off at about 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The Saint Ansgar Saints girls and boys basketball teams will be in Sheffield tonight for their Top of Iowa Conference games against West Fork.  The Saint Ansgar girls are 9-7 overall this season and they have a Top of Iowa Conference record of 6-6 while the War-Hawk girls are 11-5 and 10-2.  The Saint boys are 9-6 overall this season and they are 6-6 in league play while the West Fork boys are 11-5 and 8-4.  The girls game is set to start at around 6:15 and the boys game will get going directly after the girls game.
