No One Injured in Early Week Wrecks

Charles City, IA – A pair of car accidents took place in Charles City early last work week.

The Charles City Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Cleveland Ave. on Monday at 8:25 a.m. Two vehicles were involved in this wreck. 27-year-old Nicholas Christians of Charles City was unable to stop on the ice in a private parking lot when he struck an unattended vehicle. $1,200 in damage was done.

The second wreck came on Tuesday at 5:49 p.m. A semi driven by 56-year-old, Richard Bloodsoe of Marion, Indiana, was attempting to make a right turn onto Gilbert St. when he struck another vehicle. 41-year-old Millisa Patterson of Charles City was attempting to pass the semi. Bloodsoe was cited for failure to yield to passing vehicle. $5,000 in damage was done between the two vehicles.


No one was injured in either of these wrecks.
