Charles City, IA – The Charles City Police Department responded to two incidents on Tuesday that landed one man in jail.
The first call came from the intersection of North Jackson St. and Ferguson St. for a car accident. 69-year-old Lavern Mead of Charles City was driving north when he struck 48-year-old Sara Jenson who is also from Charles City. $2,000 in damage was done, and Jenson was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
An arrest also took place on Tuesday morning. 39-year-old Mack Mathis was arrested after the CCPD served a warrant. This took place in the 1400 block of Gilbert St. He was taken to the Floyd County Jail.
