CCHS Rolling to the State Tournament

Red bowling ball knocking over pins in a perfect strike

Charles City, IA – Bowling became a sanctioned sport at Charles City High School only a handful of years ago. You wouldn’t be able to tell, though, by the amount of success the program has had. The bowling teams clinched a spot at the State Tournament yet again earlier this week.

Both the boys and girls team won their district matchups on Tuesday. Kaleb Ross and Macy Ross, both seniors on their teams, love what their teams are doing right now.

The bowlers will now compete at the State Tournament next Monday at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo. Emotions will play a big part in how the teams perform just three days from now.

The Comet’s bowling teams will be bowling on lanes 29 and 31 on Monday afternoon. Doors will open at 9 a.m. with the bowling starting at 10.
