Cerro Gordo County, IA – The Doug Lindaman sexual abuse case took yet another turn on Friday when it was determined that he had tampered with the jurors or witnesses. Lindaman is standing trial for third-degree sexual abuse.
He stood trial for a first time and was convicted of this crime, but the Iowa Supreme Court overturned the decision because he was allowed to represent himself. The second trial was held in Franklin County, but this was declared a mistrial due to a witness referring to his criminal history. Lindaman’s third trial date is set for April 9 in Cerro Gordo Count District Court.
He was arrested on Friday for Tampering with witnesses and jurors. Lindaman has since posted a $2,000 bond.
Lindaman is being accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy.
