Floyd County barn destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon

Floyd, Iowa – Floyd Fire, along with other area departments, battled a barn fire on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported in the 2300 block of 170th Street.

The barn was considered a total loss but there were no injuries reported.

Floyd Fire was assisted at the scene by the Rudd, Charles City and Colwell Fire Departments, along with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
