Charles City, IA – The Charles City Police Department responded to two car accidents and made an arrest on Tuesday.
The first car accident happened in the 100 block of Rob Roy Lane at 10:30 a.m. A Dodge Avenger owned by Gail Devires of Charles City was properly parked when an unknown vehicle had backed into the car. The accident is under investigation and around $1,500 in damage was done.
The next accident happened about a half an hour later at 11:02 a.m. in the 500 block of Allison St. 29-year-old Devan McDonald of Charles City had backed into a Pontiac Grand Prix with his Dodge Ram. 34-year-old Amanda Keys of Charles City was the other driver in this accident. No one was injured and $1,200 in damage was done.
The CCPD responded to the 500 block of South Main St. for a disturbance call. 30-year-old Franklin Leslie of Charles City was kicking at a door. He was taken into custody at 8:50 p.m. and was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.
