25th Annual First Ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade set for Saturday

Charles City, Iowa – The 25th First Ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade is coming up this weekend in Charles City. The name may be misleading, but this is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the town.

John Morris has been organizing this event since its inception. He says where the idea came from to start this parade.

The parade will be swinging down many roadways in Charles City.

Morris is so dedicated that he started playing the bag pipes and has become quite good at it over the years.

A whole bag pipe band will be in attendance for the parade this weekend.

Serving as the Mrs. Shamrock this year will be Tanya Nosbisch. The weather for Saturday evening is expected to be mostly sunny with a high in the lower to mid 40’s, perfect weather to come and participate in the festivities.
