Charles City woman pleads guilty in bank embezzlement case

Charles City, Iowa – A Charles City woman has entered a guilty plea to embezzling from a bank she worked at.

Court records show that 34-year-old Cassandra Marie Lane was charged back in January with 1st and 2nd degree theft.

The criminal complaint states that Lane took $17,287.78 from different accounts while she worked at First Security Bank between October of 2016 and August of 2017 and then transferred the money to her husband’s account.

Her sentencing date has been set for May 14th in Floyd County District Court.
