Clarksville’s American Idol Celebrity Maddie Poppe Shares Her Experience

Charles City, Iowa – Clarksville native Maddie Poppe, who has recently made the cut for the Top 24 in American Idol, spoke with KCHA News via phone on Friday.

Poppe said her love of singing stems from her dad.

Poppeā€™s journey with American Idol started with her initial audition last August.

Poppe said she believes her unique sound has gotten her as far as she has come in her American Idol experience.

Poppe said one of the best aspects of being on American Idol is that the producers allow the contestants to have their own song and attire choice

Maddie has had to keep some secrets for quite a long time regarding her placement of being in the Top 24 in the contest.

Poppe talked about the next steps in the contest.

The next two episodes of American Idol air this Sunday, April 8th, and Monday, April 9th, on ABC beginning at 7:00 p.m.
