Floyd County Law Enforcement Center bond referendum set for May 1st

Floyd County Sheriff Jeff Crooks & Floyd County Supervisor Linda Tjaden talk about the upcoming bond referendum on May 4th for the proposed Law Enforcement Center.

Charles City, Iowa – Floyd County voters will decide on a bond referendum that will fund a new Floyd County jail on May 1st.

Floyd County Supervisor Linda Tjaden explains why this vote will take place within the month.

Floyd County Sheriff Jeff Crooks talked about some of the key concerns regarding the current jail.

Sheriff Crooks also talked about how the county will be impacted if nothing is done about the current jail.

Tours of the current jail are being offered and the public is encouraged to take a tour to help voters decide on their vote.
