No injuries reported in Friday crash

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Police Department was sent to the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue at 2:48pm Friday to investigate a collision.

According to the accident report, a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am operated by 62-year-old Paul Stover of Nashua was southbound on Grand Ave. when a 2007 Jeep Liberty operated by 60-year-old Beverly Grube of Charles City was coming off of 11th Street eastbound when she failed to yield, striking the Stover vehicle which then left the roadway.

Grube was charged with failure to yield to the right of way.

Estimated damage between both vehicles was estimated at $5,500.
