Charles City motorcyclist injured in weekend accident

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Police Department responded to a motorcyclist down at around 5:06pm Sunday.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Second Street and Main Street where a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Anthony Knecht, lost control and slid onto the sidewalk.

One person was transported to the Floyd County Medical Center by AMR Ambulance with minor injuries.

Damage to the bike was estimated to be around $1,000.

Knecht was cited with failure to maintain control and for not having a motorcycle license.
