Former CC man facing numerous charges after high-speed pursuit

Albert Lea, MN – A former Charles City man wanted for felony domestic assault has been arrested in Lake Mills after a high-speed pursuit on Tuesday.

Officers spotted 31-year-old Michael Anthony Livingston of Albert Lea at around 3:27pm on Tuesday after he was wanted in connection to a domestic situation earlier in the day.

Once the officer attempted to stop Livingston, he took off at a high rate of speed, traveling through southern Freeborn County and into Lake Mills where he crashed into a field and then fled into a nearby pond.

Court documents state that Livingston admitted to using marijuana and methamphetamine.

Livingston is facing felony eluding and operating under the influence of a controlled substance. Other charges are pending.

Livingston is being held in the Winnebago County Jail.

The Albert Lea Police Department was assisted by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Mills Police and the Iowa State Patrol.
