KCHA Sports Report (5/29)

The Charles City Comet softball team will be at home tonight for a Northeast Iowa Conference double-header against Waverly-Shell Rock.  The Comets come into tonight’s game with an overall record of 5-0 and they are 2-0 in the NEIC while Waverly is 3-0 and 2-0.  You can tune into both games of the doub;e-header right here on KCHA starting with a pre-game at 5:15 and first pitch of the first game is scheduled for 5:30.

The Charles City Comet baseball team will be at home tonight as well as they will host Crestwood in Northeast Iowa Conference action.  The Comets are 1-1 overall this year and with their games against Waukon on Friday being suspended, there NEIC record sits at 0-0.  The Cadets are 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.  This will be a JV/Varsity double-header with the Varsity game set to start around 7pm.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky baseball and softball teams will host Eagle Grove tonight in non-conference action.  The Nashua baseball team is 1-3 overall this season while Eagle Grove baseball is 1-2-1.  The Husky softball team comes in at 1-1 this year and the Eagle Grove softball team is 0-5.  First pitch for both games is scheduled for 6pm.

The Osage Green Devil softball and baseball teams will be on the road tonight for non-conference games against Algona-Bishop Garrigan.  The Osage softball team is 0-3 overall this season while Garrigan softball is 3-1.  The Green Devil baseball team is 2-1 so far this season and the Golden Bears come in at 2-2.  The softball game is scheduled to begin at 6pm while the baseball game will get started at around 7:30.

The Saint Ansgar Saints softball and baseball teams will both host North Butler tonight in Top of Iowa Conference games.  The Saints softball team is 3-3 overall thus far in the season and 1-1 in TIC games while the Bearcat girls are 1-2 and 1-1.  The Saint Ansgar baseball team is 3-1-1 overall and they are 1-0 in conference games while the North Butler baseball team is 2-0 and 1-0.  First pitch for the softball game will be at 6pm and first pitch for the baseball game will be at about 7:30.

The Rockford Warrior softball and baseball teams will be at home tonight for Top of Iowa Conference action against West Fork.  The Rockford softball team is 4-0 overall this season while the War-Hawk girls are 1-1.  The Warrior baseball team is 1-1 this season and the West Fork boys are 1-2.  The softball game will begin at 6pm and the baseball game is scheduled to start at 7:30.
