Annual Charles City Bike Rodeo to be held Saturday

Bike Lane, Road For Bicycles

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Police Department will hold their annual bike rodeo in the former middle school parking lot on Saturday.

That’s Police Chief Hugh Anderson says the kids can learn bike safety and register their bikes with the city for free.

Anderson said the PD partnered with the group, CC Cares, who he says is taking the bike rodeo to a new level this year. He explains a little about the group.

He says over 20 bikes will be given away on Saturday, many of which are gently used. The group will also be providing some light food and drink during the rodeo.

The annual Bike Rodeo will be held on Saturday in the parking lot of the former Middle School on North Grand Avenue from 9am until 11am, weather pending.
