Winneshiek County drug bust results in 3 arrests

Ridgeway, Iowa – Three people were arrested in a drug bust on Friday.

According to the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Jason Baumgartner and 26-year-old Jayme Baumgartner, both of Ridgeway, and 24-year-old Mersadie Rehorst of Dubuque, were arrested in the bust.

The report says Jason Baumgartner is facing two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and marijuana, and not having a drug tax stamp. Bond was set at $30,000, cash only.

Jayme Baumgartner along with Rehorst are facing the same charged. Jayme Baumgartner’s bond is $20,000, cash only, with Rehorst’s bond set at $30,000, cash only.

The Iowa State Patrol and the Winneshiek County Attorney’s Office assisted.

The case remains under investigation.
