McQuillen Place Set To Get New Sidewalks

The Charles City Council met Wednesday during a planning session and McQuillen Place will have sidewalks for its residents.  City engineer John Fallis says accessibility is important.

The sidewalks along Main and Clark streets were removed in 2014 and the sidewalks have been closed since.  A public hearing is scheduled for the August City Council meeting. Construction should be done by November 2nd. Fallis says the project should cost 55 thousand dollars. The cost will be assessed to the building’s property tax.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
