ICYMI: WATCH – Kid’s Day Blasts Off Fourth Of July Festivities

Charles City, Iowa – It is only right that “America’s Hometown” go all out for Independence Day.  A wide-array of activities are featured the rest of today and tomorrow.  The festivities kicked off with the 23rd annual Kid’s Day Celebration.

July 3rd

  • Uncle Sam Jam in Central Park: 7 PM

July 4th

  • Firecracker 5K Run/Walk: 7:30 AM register at Charles City High School
  • July 4th Parade: 10:30 AM – Erik Hoefer will be broadcasting it LIVE on 95.9 KCHA
  • Several activities in Central Park and along the Riverfront all afternoon
  • Fireworks at dusk
  • Carrie Lane Chapman Catt House Open from 12-4
  • Floyd County Museum Open from 1-4
  • Farmer’s Market in Central Park from 3:30-6
  • Municipal Band Concert starts at 7:30 at the Riverfront

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
